The SABIAN 17" FRX Crash is a pro-level, extra-thin B20 Bronze crash that delivers quick, shimmering response and exceptionally soft feel. SABIAN FRX (Frequency Reduced) cymbals are designed for playing environments where other cymbals have too much attack. They are NOT low volume cymbals.

Musically deep and dark. Colorful, with a papery, washy attack and a wide smooth spread.

Fast, bright, lively. Very responsive.

After a long process of research and experimentation, in close cooperation with our Artist Federico Paulovich, the new “Est.1931 Series” is here, as a tribute to the year of our company’s foundation. “Est.1931” cymbals are dry, smooth, warm with a traditional sound, but updated to perfectly fit new modern music styles. Crashes are dark, warm, smoky, soft, very low pitched, with a soft response and short sustain. Rides are extremely dry, musical, very controllable with an excellent stick definition, but still crashables. Hi Hats feature a warm chick, dry sound, good response and great control.

This new addition to the Zildjian “A” Family is a sonic recreation of the vintage "A" sound from the 1950's. Each cymbal in this collection delivers immense musicality and features a thin, loose, played-in feel with a great balance of bright and dark overtones.

We added a variety of intricate details to make this collection truly something special including its timeless, individual "aged" patina to the classy and understated "Avedis" logo, to the original hollow "Zildjian" logo underneath.

Find the cymbal that "speaks to you" as there is a broad weight variation among each Thin - Medium Thin model (1,757g - 1,928g) with the gram weights written underneath. So selecting an A Avedis cymbal is a personal experience.

Plenty of give, texture and "crashability." Combination of top articulation and bottom spread provides excellent stick articulation. Lower in pitch.
K Constantinople cymbals speak with the dark warm sound associated with Zildjian cymbals made in Turkey in the first half of the 20th Century. "Old Ks" first resurfaced during the 1950s and 1960s in set-ups of bebop era vanguard drummers like Elvin Jones.
K Constantinoples are hand-lathed by skilled artisans using old-style cutting tools. Pits and other surface impurities, that modern finishing processes remove, are retained, preserving the original tonal quality.

These hand crafted cymbals look as they sound dark, and complex. Reminiscent of cymbals from the 50s and 60s yet distinctly modern and relevant for today's music, Kerope is named in honor of Kerope Zildjian, who presided over one of the most storied periods in Zildjian history.
The Kerope line draws from Zildjian's rich history and cymbal making expertise to bring forth the most authentic vintage K recreation to date.
