These hand crafted cymbals look as they sound dark, and complex. Reminiscent of cymbals from the 50s and 60s yet distinctly modern and relevant for today's music, Kerope is named in honor of Kerope Zildjian, who presided over one of the most storied periods in Zildjian history.
The Kerope line draws from Zildjian's rich history and cymbal making expertise to bring forth the most authentic vintage K recreation to date. The choice of renowned rock, metal and fusion drummers, A Customs feature a brilliant finish and radical new hammering techniques that deliver a crisp, sweet, sophisticated A Zildjian sound, but with a contemporary feel. A Customs are not too dark and not too bright with a fast response and clean attack.

Zildjian's classic sound is embodied by A Zildjian and immortalized in countless recordings by the greatest drummers of all time. Known for their versatility, these bright cymbals range from paper thin and delicate to extra heavy and cutting. Recent adjustments were made to the curvature and weights of many current models to capture the sweet spot of the classic A sound, producing crashes, rides, and hats that reflect today's musical styles.

Evolving from the amazing sound of the Blast, with the important contribution of our artist Iarin Munari, the new Blast Extra dry crashes are still explosive but the unlathed surface and the big hammer marks produce a dry and darker sound. Warm, easy to control , with small “trashy” and oriental overtones, the Blast Extra Dry crashes are the right choice for many different applications, from Jazz to Pop music, from Rock to Electro music.

This new addition to the Zildjian “A” Family is a sonic recreation of the vintage "A" sound from the 1950's. Each cymbal in this collection delivers immense musicality and features a thin, loose, played-in feel with a great balance of bright and dark overtones.

We added a variety of intricate details to make this collection truly something special including its timeless, individual "aged" patina to the classy and understated "Avedis" logo, to the original hollow "Zildjian" logo underneath.

Find the cymbal that "speaks to you" as there is a broad weight variation among each Thin model (1,474g - 1,587g) with the gram weights written underneath. So selecting an A Avedis cymbal is a personal experience.
