The Superstar, which appeared just two years after the TAMA brand was born, was a drum kit that featured an all-birch shell, which was unprecedented at the time. Its dynamic and powerful sound was an excellent match for the intense rock sounds of the time, and it set the tone for the subsequent sound of TAMA drums. This Superstar Reissue is a limited edition model that revives this monumental model, which was a turning point in the history of TAMA drums, into the modern era. The shell uses a 9mm all-birch shell that is thicker than modern drums, achieving a powerful attack and deep bass reminiscent of those days. In addition, hardware parts such as lugs and claw hooks have been reproduced to the specifications of the time, and the inside of the shell is painted the same color as the outside, giving it a vintage look. Shell Finish is available in four colors: Aqua Marine, Super Maple, Super Mahogany, and Cherry Wine, which were popular colors in the early 1980s. (9mm,6ply All Birch Shells) The 9mm, 6-ply all-birch shell is thicker than modern drums and features a powerful attack and thick mid-bass. It received high praise for its clear sound image, which was a clear departure from the mellow, soft sound that was common with drums at the time. Also, the inside of the shell was painted in the same color as the specs from the early 1980s. (Classic Drum Sizes) The size of the tom tom is 10"x8", 12"x8", the floor tom is 16"x16", and the bass drum is 22"x14". The bass drum with a strong attack that symbolizes this era, the floor tom that emphasizes the deep bass, and the sharp tom tom with a short sustain are reminiscent of the sounds of the time. (MTH800 Double Tom Holder) Adopts a double tom holder that allows the left and right holder sections to operate independently and achieve a wide range of motion. In addition, the movable holder part can be removed and used as a single tom holder. The diameter of the lower pipe inserted into the tom holder base is 25.4mm. (Claw Hook & T-Handle Bolt) The bass drum tension bolt uses a T-handle type, reproducing the specifications of the time.
