This guitar’s long 27-inch scale length comes in at 1.5 inches longer than your typical Schecter PT, allowing for chug-ready low tunings with optimal string tension. It’s the perfect setup for the PT-Ex’s high-output duo of USA-made humbuckers, including a Pasadena Plus in the bridge and a neck-position Super Rock Vintage — a combo that effortlessly covers everything from ultra-aggressive riffage to old-school rock tones to sparkling cleans. Picky about your playability? The PT-Ex’s carbon-fiber-reinforced hard rock maple neck, 14-inch-radius ebony fingerboard, and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets deliver the peak of performance. Lastly, the Schecter Diamond PT/H string-through bridge maximizes every bit of sustain and resonance of this guitar’s lightweight nyatoh body.

Our Grand Auditorium guitars are crafted with both comfort and sound in mind. The sloped shoulder allows for easy finger picking, and the full size body delivers the projection you would expect from a dreadnaught. Our acoustic electric Grand Auditoriums have a cutaway body, allowing better access for playing past the 12th fret.

An influential legend in the world of thrash metal, Gary Holt joined his friend Kirk Hammett in Bay Area band Exodus in 1981, and proceeded to write music and perform on every Exodus album since then.

Gary’s unmistakable playing style all made him the ideal choice as the second guitarist in Slayer for their final albums and tours. His LTD Signature Series GH-SV offers all of the aggression and power for which Gary is known and loved.

A faithful recreation of one of Schecter's earlier designs and popularized on Schecter's PT guitars in the 1980's by The Who, Schecter's SuperRock Vintage pickups deliver a musical mix of rich and brilliant tone, yet even power across the tonal output. It allows chords to ring with detail and single note definition as well as having enough power to drive your amp into that much sought after musical distortion that has just a little more aggression and bite. At full power the pickup breaks up nicely and compliments any ensemble, and when split, allows it to shine and stand out amongst the mix.
